Rail Corridor

The Rail Corridor was formerly a railway line that was used by Singapore and Malaysia for commuting and transporting goods back in the early 20th century, the Tank Road station that open in 1903 was the first railway station in Singapore. The Rail Corridor stretches 24km and connects Singapore from North to South, the plan to enhance Rail Corridor started in 2011 when URA consulted the community widely on the aspiration for Rail Corridor, at the same time URA also worked with design teams to develop the master plan for Rail Corridor. The enhancement of Rail Corridor begin in 2018 and target to complete by 2021. When completed, Rail Corridor will provide new amenities and community space to its visitors.
